Melvin Thomas, Sr., 65 years of Allentown, formerly of New Orleans, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was the husband of Izola (Green) Thomas for 44 years last December. He was a son of the late Rev. Nathaniel and Louise (Davis) Thomas. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Melvin was a self employed mechanic.

Survivors: He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Izola, daughters: Laura, Lynnette, and Wanette Thomas, sons: Rev. Melvin Thomas Jr. and his wife Joan, and Terrence Joseph, god daughter, Jocole Rogers, sister, Virginia Jones, grandchildren: Alexuss, Melvin III, Kentricca, Diamanté, Calnisha, Kobe, Lauren, Tatiyana, Jacklyn, and Savannae, and Nathaniel Thomas, Francesca and Gabrielle Rhoads, great granddaughter, Amoni, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Memorial Service: 12 P.M. Saturday, May 9 at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M.
