Myrna A. Hollenbeck, 78 years, of Orefield, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  She was the wife of Bruce P. Hollenbeck for 50 years.  Born in Harvey, IL she was the daughter of John and Myrle (Borg) Tienstra.  She is of Dutch and Swedish ancestry.

She was an Elementary Education Teacher for Northern Lehigh and Northwestern Lehigh School Districts for 6 years. With a gap as a Stay-at-Home Mom, Myrna went back to teach at The Swan School for 14 years. She was involved for many years with Cat rescues and placement in forever homes.

Survivors: husband, Bruce, son, Aeh Jay Hollenbeck of Denver CO, and brother, Jon Tienstra of WV.
