Nelson L. Schaeffer, 82 years, of Whitehall, died on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of Kathryn C. (Weida) Schaeffer for 60 years. He was the son of the late Rev. Luther N. and Louise (Kruckeberg) Schaeffer.

He graduated from Kutztown University in 1964 and was a Spanish teacher in the Parkland School District for 31 years. Nelson was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitehall.

Survivors: wife, Kathryn; children, Karen Weinrich (Chris), David Schaeffer (Jodie), Jeffrey Schaeffer (Jennifer); grandchildren, Benjamin, Alexander, Jonathan, and Liesl; great grandchild, Claire.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 16, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Rd, Whitehall with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
