Obituary

Norman W. Wendling, 83 years, of Fogelsville, passed away at home Tuesday, January 13, 2015.  He was the husband of Alma (George) Wendling for 59 years last June.  Born in Fogelsville, he was the son of the late Frederick F.W. and Edna (Herring) Wendling.

Norman was a foreman for PennDOT. Prior to that, he was a zoning officer for Upper Macungie Twp., where he also worked on a road crew.  When Norman was younger, he was a bus driver for LANta and was a blaster for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co.  He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. Bowling League.  Norman loved to fish and was a member of the Rural Sportsman Assoc.  He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ in Allentown.  Norman honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors: wife, daughter, Debra L. Wendling and companion David Hein of Wescosville, sons, Scott W. and wife Lugene of Kutztown and Roger A. and wife Carol of Trexlertown, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services: 1:00 PM, Friday, January 16, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville with the Rev. Dr. David C. Smith officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Fogelsville Union Cemetery.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com
