Peggy K. Hughes, 84 years, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home in Fogelsville, PA on Sunday, October 8, 2023. She was born in Aleppo, PA to Myrtle and Robert Finnegan and was preceded in death by her brothers Kenny and Sonny.  She celebrated 62 years of marriage to Asa M. Hughes. Peggy is survived by her daughter Erica Boisvert and husband Andre of Raleigh, NC.

She graduated from West Green High School and the Temple School of Cosmetology in Texas. For over 20 years she worked for Manpower employment agency as an executive secretary.

Peggy pursued a variety of interests throughout her life including being a talented artist and seamstress. Additionally, she served as former judge of election and zoning officer for Lowhill Township, was a former member of the Police Red Rose pistol team in Lancaster, flew a Para plane, and parachuted out of an airplane at age 68.  She visited all 50 states and enjoyed exploring many different countries on vacation with family and friends.
