Ralph D. "Jake" Groff, 91 years, formerly of Allentown, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Whitehall Manor. He was the son of the late Ralph D. and Amelia C. (Windbigler) Groff.
Jake graduated in 1949 from Temple University with a B.S. in Accounting and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant in 1963. Jake worked at various companies in the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years as an accountant, auditor, and financial analyst, the last 20 years of which he had his own business as a CPA. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the National Assoc. of Accountants. Jake was a member and past Master of Greenleaf Lodge No. 561 F&AM in Allentown, a 32 degree Mason with the Lehigh Consistory, and the Rajah Shrine. He honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.
