Reynold G. Reinert, 75, of Fogelsville, passed away on August 17, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Grace B. (Kratzer) Reinert and would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1. Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late George H. and Luella A. (Snyder) Reinert.

He graduated from Kutztown High School in 1954. From 1954 to 1974, he worked at the Kutztown Shoe Co. as a laster. He worked part-time from 1972-1974 for Weisenberg Twp. as a zoning officer. In 1975, he became Weisenberg Twp. Administrator and S.E.O. and also started serving as Lowhill Twp. Administrator and S.E.O. all of which he still continued to do. He enjoyed genealogy and was the Bittner/Werley Reunion's historian. Reynold was president of the Fereinicht Penna. Dietsch Fulk. He enjoyed hunting and was an expert pinochle player. Reynold was a member of the Weisenberg-Lowhill Historical society and contributed articles to the quarterly newsletter. He was a member of the Seipstown Grange, past leader of the Lynnville 4-H and president of the Lehigh-Kress Hunting Club. Reynold was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli where he served as president of the Consistory when it was a Union Church. He served on the cemetery committee, sang on the choir, was Superintendent of the Sunday School, where he participated in the orchestra, and played on the church softball team. He was a member of the National Guard. Reynold and his wife loved to travel and visited 38 states and many countries.

Survivors: Wife; Son, Kelvin L. and wife Karen of New Tripoli; Daughter, Sandra D. wife of Charles Cappuccino of Kutztown; Brothers, Donald W. and wife Carol of Lenhartsville and Sterling D. and wife Doreen of Slatington; Sister, Lucille A. wife of Dennis Heintzelman of New Tripoli; Grandchildren, James and wife Jen, John and Andrew Reinert, Curtis and Katie Cappuccino; Great-grandchildren, Alanna and Wesley.

Services: 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli, with the Rev. Raymond J. Hand officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45 A.M. at the church. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery.
