Richard R. Laudenslager, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Fogelsville. Dick was the beloved husband of Carol A. Laudenslager (née Hakler) for 21 years. He leaves behind children Kristin Laudenslager (Bobby Thomas), Julie Holman (Barry), Sara Ruch (Kevin), Kyle Laudenslager (Christina), Amy Newman (Robert) and Chad Klimek (Amy).
In addition to his devoted wife and children, he is survived by his four sisters: Marlene "Dolly" Dougherty, Gloria Laudenslager, Nancy Synder (Ronald), Carol Kulp, and two sisters-in-law, Regina and Eleanor, as well as his large extended family, including fifteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Florence (née Rader) Laudenslager, and his three older brothers: Donald (Ruberda), Stanley and Carl.
A varsity athlete and graduate of Parkland High School, he served in the U.S. Marines from 1963-1967 and studied at Kutztown University before his 48-year career as a truck driver. His legacy of giving includes inspiring multiple generations of young women as a softball coach, delivering Meals on Wheels, and always being the first to help care for family, friends and neighbors. He was a charter member of Orchard Hills Church.
Services: 11:00 AM on Wednesday February 16 at the Orchard Hills Church at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2096 Independent Rd, Breinigsville. A calling hour will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment, Fogelsville Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. Fogelsville. Online condolences may be offered to the family at KellerFuneralHomes.com.
