Robert D. Long, 86 years, formerly of Allentown and Shartlesville, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Bethlehem Manor.  He was the widower of Betty J. (Herman) Long.  Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Charles and Florence (Biery) Long.

He worked for the former A&B Meats and was a truck driver for Eastern Industries for many years.  Robert was a member of the Old Time Plowboys Club and a lifetime member of various VFW's.  He loved horseback riding with friends and family.  Robert honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors: Children, Cheryl L. Long of Slatington, Daryl R. Long (Debbie) of Shartlesville, step children, Mallory L. Weiss (Thomas) of Ocala, FL, and Timothy J. Zuberka of Trexlertown; siblings, Richard and Larry Long, Delores Leitgeb, Janice Franssen, and Evelyn Shimer; grandchildren, Brandon Weider (April), Chadd (Jessica), Trey, and Dylan Long (Megan); step grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrea, Michelle, and Christie; great grandchildren, Cooper and Kylian, Jesse, Elliee, and Remy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers.

Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 12, at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.  Visitation, 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 13 at Altona Cemetery, 902 E.
