Robert H. "Shep" Shapiro, 88 years of Macungie, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Louise C. (Luongo) Shapiro for 61 years last May. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Doris Shapiro.

Shep was maintenance inspector for the F.A.A. for many years. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. Shep loved listening to bluegrass music, so much so he taught himself to play the banjo. His willingness to help people and his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors: wife, Louise, daughters, Joanne Bartell (Michael) of Pocono Summit and Veronica Stoeckel (Darrin) of Fogelsville, brother, Louis Shapiro of New York, grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Nicole and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Ashton and Gunner.
