Ronald K. Werley, 79 years, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the widower of Elizabeth A. (Herrick) Werley. Born in Lowhill Twp. he was a son of the late Clayton B. and Lillian (Shoemaker) Werley.

He worked in electrical sales for 30 years at Lighting Fixture and Supply Co. in Allentown, retiring in 2000. Ron continued to work part time for the company following his retirement. Also, he was a tax collector for Lowhill Twp. for 15 years during which time he was a member of the Pennsylvania State Tax Collector's Assoc. He was a founding member of Hope Community Church in Orefield, where he served as the financial secretary for many years. Ron was a very active member of the Grundsow Lodge #1 and was a former member of the Lowhill Twp. Planning Commission. Ron was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fogelsville. He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors : sister, Elva Hausman and husband Herbert of Chesterfield, MO, 2 nieces, friend, Kay Kleinschuster of Fogelsville and her family, John and Tracy, Karen and Rudy, and Emily, Katie, and Nathan.

Services : 10 A.M. Monday, October 12 at St. John's U.C.C., 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, with the Rev. Robert M. Danecker officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 11 from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and 9 to 10 A.M. Monday, in the Church.
