Roy E. Werley, 88 years, of Fogelsville passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014.  Roy was the husband of Mildred E. (Miller) Werley for 66 years last June.  Born in Weisenberg Twp., he was a son of the late Daniel and Martha (Sechler) Werley.

He was a truck driver for Atlantic Oil and Heating for 18 years retiring in 1991.  Prior to that, he was a miller in the finishing department for 16 years at the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co.  He had also been employed as a laborer for the former Mohr Orchards for several years.  Roy was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church where he served on Church Council and was a deacon and past treasurer.  He was the former Secretary of the Joint Parish Council with Fogelsville Lutheran Church.

Survivors: wife, daughter, Diane, wife of Ronald Smith; son, Myron and wife Arlis; grandchildren, Justin and Robyn Smith, Adam and Scott Werley, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Osville, a twin brother, Ray, and a sister, Marian Peters.

Services: 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 29, at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Rd., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Raymond J. Hand officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 A.M. in the Church. Interment, Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
