Sara Kidwell, of Fogelsville, passed away on October 19 at the age of 83.  Sara was born in Tulare California to Silas and Gladys Tyler.  She graduated from Tulare High School and Chapman College in Orange, California in1961 (now Chapman University). She married Roger Kidwell in 1961 and began her teaching career with 3 ^rd grade in Santa Ana, Huntington Park and South Pasadena.

Sara and Roger celebrated their 60 ^th anniversary on August 12.  She is survived by her husband, daughter Vicky Stodnick and grandson Nathan Stodnick of Wildwood, Missouri.

In 1966 Sara and Roger moved to St. Louis, and in 1971 they welcomed their daughter Victoria.  In 1980 the family moved to Taiwan for four years for Roger's company, where Sara became active with a Girl Scout troop with girls from around the world and very much enjoyed travel around the orient.

Upon returning to St. Louis, Sara became active in women's organizations that sponsored women's education.  She was president of the very active College Club of St. Louis for two years.  In 1993 Sara and Roger moved to the Lehigh Valley, where she became active with PEO of Emmaus, a women's organization dedicated to the education of women.

Sara enjoyed travel, reading, gardening and home decorating.
