Jun 22, 1940 — Sep 26, 2018
Sharla A. Kistler, 78 years, of Mars, PA formerly of Schnecksville, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Harrison H. and Bernice (Bolton) Solt, Jr. She graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. In addition to being a wonderful mom, Sharla was a self-employed piano technician for 22 years, worked for the Wildlands Conservancy as a database manager for 11 years, and taught school for 3 years. She bowled, she was a Cookie Mom and she loved ice cream. Her two passions were music and genealogy. She was a member of the International Assoc. of Piano Builders and Technicians and the Piano Technicians Guild, serving as an officer for several years. Sharla was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield, where she lent her talents to the Jordan Chorale and Sinfonia.
