Susan P. Reiss

Susan P. Reiss, 81, formerly of Northampton, PA and Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was the widow of Francis M. Reiss. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William and Grace (Guenther) Piper.

Susan and Francis Reiss married in 1964. They raised their two adopted children in Northampton. In 2002, they moved to Jacksonville, Florida. After Frank passed in 2022, Sue moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family.

Survivors: Son, Michael Reisss (fiancé Charma) of Bangor, daughter, Jaime Hart (husband Ricky) of Pepperell, MA, sisters, Judy Grim of Schnecksville and Sara “Sally” Thierer of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Ricky, Cody and Carri.

A Graveside Service for Susan and her late husband Frank will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 16 at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, 5103 Snowdrift Rd, Orefield.
