Wallace D. Vance, 85 years, of New Tripoli, passed away April 1, 2013 at home. He was the widower of Perna "Olene" (Leath) Vance. Born in Gordonsville, TN, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Allie (McCaleb) Vance.
He was a heavy equipment operator for W.E. Yoder, Inc. in Kutztown for many years and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers #542. Wallace honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
Survivors: Sons; Donnie D. of Butte, Montana, Steven W. and wife Peggy of Macungie, Dwight J. of Spokane, WA, and Patrick B. of Allentown, grandson, Aaron Vance of Spokane, WA, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son J. Roger and a brother Joe.
Services: Memorial Service 11 A.M., Monday, April 8, at New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6804 Weiss Rd., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Scott W. Lingenfelter officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Interment will be private in Fogelsville Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
