William P. Gery, 94, formerly of Emmaus, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit in Allentown. He was the widower of Catherine M. (Leiby) Gery. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Anna (Gettle) Gery.
He was the office manager for 30 years at Kramer Steel, Corp. and Queen Construction. Bill retired as a Staff Accountant for Medstar Communications in 1996. He continued working in his own business preparing taxes for individuals and businesses until 2019. Bill was a member of the St John’s Lutheran Church in Fogelsville where he taught Sunday school, was superintendent of Sunday school, was on Church Council for many years where he served as Secretary and served as trustee of the Endowment fund. He was a member of the Alburtis Lions Club where he served as treasurer and was the longest member of the club in the district and was also a member of the Lehigh Lodge No 326 F&AM and High Twelve International. Bill was also a member of the Lehigh Consistory and the Rajah Shrine. William honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Macungie VFW.
Survivors: daughter, Kristin Hlavinka, husband Mark of Macungie and grandson, Alex. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Gery.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 13 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville. A visitation will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 12 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville with Masonic Services at 6:30 PM and a visitation on Thursday, from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Church. Interment in Ziegels Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, in care of the Funeral Home, PO Box 52, Fogelsville, 18051.
